The Spooky Season is Here! Find Fall Fun in Orlando for 2021

Halloween in Orlando offers all the tricks, treats and terrors you can imagine. As home to the world’s top theme parks, attractions and venues, Orlando is the best place to get into the Halloween spirit with kid-friendly treats and spooky tricks. And you don’t have to wait until Halloween to join in the fun. Halloween 2021 is already well underway, and here at Caribe Royale, we are your perfect Halloween Vacation Headquarters!

From August 10 to October 31, Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom will showcase the aura of autumn on its Main Street, U.S.A., which will be decked out in fall décor and feature other seasonal offerings, including a special Halloween-themed cavalcade with Mickey, Minnie, and pals wearing their favorite costumes. Themed food, special treats and merchandise will be available, and photographers will be capturing special moments throughout the park! Have little ones in your group? You can also experience a family fun night at the park with Disney After Hours Boo Bash events, starting at 7 p.m. on select evenings through October 31. But beware! Happy Haunts may just materialize in the pictures. Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear their most creative costumes.

This year, you can experience family fun by day and bone-chilling terror by night at SeaWorld Orlando. For the first time ever, Howl-O-Scream is coming to the Orlando theme park.  This adult-focused experience features terrifying haunted houses, a brand-new live show, scare zones to navigate, and roaming hoards from which to hide… On select weekends, kids and kids at heart can don costumes for SeaWorld Orlando’s Spooktacular, which takes place on weekends through October. Enjoy a Halloween dance party, themed shows and more. A “trick-or-treat trail” will be stocked with candy and adventure, and little ones can engage in not-so-spooky fun with their favorite Sesame Street characters, including Cookie Monster and Elmo.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, now in its 30th year, brings together terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment, and some of the park’s most exhilarating attractions on select nights September 3 through October 31. The now-famous Jack the Clown will be back as well, lunging from the shadows when you least expect him. Make sure to bring a friend to share in the screams –this year’s theme is “Never Go Alone.”

Gatorland is bringing back Gators, Ghost and Goblins weekends October 9 through October 31. The family-friendly Halloween event will feature a number of activities, including searching for Cryptids in the Crocs and Cryptids Zone, learning about the world’s most famous monsters at the Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum, and enjoying live music at Frank & Stein’s Ooky Kooky Octoberfest.

At Legoland Florida, visitors will experience Brick or Treat on weekends throughout October. The event features neighborhood-style trick or treating with plenty of candy for the little ones, seasonal shows such as Groovin’ Graveyard, and a spooky squad of holiday characters including Rockin’ Frankenstein and Lord Vampyre. Specialty food and merchandise will also be available.

Looking for something a little different? Watch the wiener dog races at Fun Spot America Orlando on Saturday, October 16 at 11 a.m. for the Florida Wiener Dog Derby – Hallo-wiener edition! There will be puppy, adult, senior, wheelie divisions, and wannabe small breed races. See the cute dogs in a costume contest, hot dog dunk and toilet paper wrap. There will also be themed haunt zones, interactive characters, animal encounters, a children’s costume parade, games and candy giveaways.
