Read these frequently asked questions about our family-friendly hotel and resort in Orlando, Florida.

What steps is your hotel taking to be more environmentally friendly?

The Caribe Royale is pleased to be an official Green Lodging hotel and earned the Three Palm Designation by the state of Florida.

Water Conservation:  Guest towel/linen reuse, low flow faucet/shower head, automatic faucets/toilets in public restroom.  Villa information cards advising guests to run dishwasher at capacity.

Energy Efficiency:  Energy Star rated equipment, sensor lighting, LED lighting throughout property, weather stripping, double pane windows, A/C temperature set to save energy.

Water Reduction:  Recycling receptacles are available for guest use.  Additionally, we recycle industrial items such as light bulbs, oil, tires, ballasts, metal and more.  We use paper products with recycled content.  Bulk purchase of copy paper.

Clean Air Practices:  Annual cleaning of air handlers/coils, use of Merv8 air filters, guest shuttle for Disney, LYNX bus passes for employees, and bike rentals available for guests.  We use environmentally preferable air freshner and glass cleaner.

Food & Beverage Contribution:  “Skip the straw” initiative – paper straws are used for alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages use paper straws upon request.  Bottled water is no longer used for internal functions.

Do you have a charging station for vehicles?

No we do not have a charging station.

What heating items are prohibited in the suites?

Prohibited items: Items with heating elements or open flames are prohibited. Certain items that generate heat or produce an open flame are not permitted. This includes crock pots, rice cookers, portable grills, toasters, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard.

Do you offer pay-per-view programming?

Yes, the Caribe Royale offers pay-per-view programming. The system also features parental controls to restrict the type of programming available for purchase and viewing.

How many people are allowed to stay in the suites and villas?

Six total people are permitted to stay in one of the 1,215 one-bedroom suites and eight adults are permitted to stay in one of the 120 two-bedroom villas.

Do you provide kitchen utensils and silverware in the villas?

Our villa kitchens are fully stocked, and Guest Services will be happy to bring you anything else you may need.

Are the shuttle buses ADA accessible?

Yes. Please notify our Guest Service desk 24 hours in advance.

Do you have transportation to Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores?

Our hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. There is one pick up time from our hotel and several scheduled return times available. Pick up from Caribe Royale is 1:45 pm daily. Return times: 2:20 pm, 4:45 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. Please note that the mall closes at 7:00 pm on Sunday. The last shuttle return time on Sunday is 6:00 pm. Shuttle service is for hotel guests only. Shuttles pick up outside the front of the hotel. The mall pick up location is near the food court and there are signs directing guests where to go. Arrive for the shuttles 10 minutes early. Space is subject to availability. Food, drinks and personal luggage are not permitted on the shuttle. The shuttle is non-smoking and wheelchair lifts are not available. This shuttle is provided by the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. Do you have transportation to Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets?

As part of the Hotel Fee per night, plus tax, shopping transportation is provided for hotel guests to the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. To obtain the vouchers, guests should visit the Expedia Guest Services desk in the lobby. Expedia Guest Services desk is open from 7 am–10:00 pm or call (407) 238-8010. The agent will give each guest two vouchers (one voucher for each leg of the trip) and the shuttle will pick the guest up at the front of the hotel. Guest will arrive and depart from Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets at the Tommy Hilfiger entrance. Pick up from Caribe Royale is 9:35 am and 11:35 am. Return Times (location Tommy Hilfiger entrance): 1:30 pm and 5:50 pm. Please check with Guest Services for changes to this schedule.

While at the outlets, you can also catch the I-Ride Trolley to visit Pointe Orlando and the numerous shops and restaurants along the I-Drive corridor. It’s a fun and affordable way to get around International Drive! I-Ride Trolley passes are available for purchase at the Expedia Guest Services desk in both hotel lobbies and are also available at many locations within the International Drive resort area and from the I-Ride sales office. Passes are not sold on Trolleys.

Do the Disney shuttles stop at other hotels?

No, the shuttles run directly between Disney and our two hotels, Buena Vista Suites and Caribe Royale. The shuttle picks up hotel guests outside the Main Reception Building.

Do you allow strollers on the theme park shuttles?

Yes, they must be collapsible strollers for the safety and comfort of all of our guests.

Do you have transportation to the local theme parks?

As part of the Hotel Fee per night, plus tax, we offer scheduled shuttle services to/from the Walt Disney World® Ticket & Transportation Center and an evening shuttle to Disney Springs™. Reservations are required and shuttles are operated by our transportation partner, Maingate Transportation. Travel times vary depending on the time of year. A current schedule is always available at the hotel’s Bell stand. We make every attempt to post the most current monthly shuttle schedules, which are subject to change each month. Do you provide transportation to/from the airport? or Amtrak Station?

While we do not provide complimentary shuttle service. Guests can choose to take taxis or a shuttle service from Orlando International Airport. Our recommended shuttle provider is Maingate Transportation. You may reserve prior to arrival online at Maingatetaxi.com and select the airport tab or by calling (407) 390-0000 option 1.

What type of dining options are at the Caribe Royale?

We have 24-hour room service, a 24-hour deli called Café 24 that features sandwiches, deli items, pizzas, salads, daily entrée specials, breakfast items, coffee, beverages, beer, wine, snacks and candy. Our all-day dining restaurant is available at the Tropicale and it is perfect for casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Calypso’s Pool Bar & Grille is located poolside and featuring a Floribbean style menu and alfresco dining. The Falls Lounge and The Loft also serve a light menu of appetizers along with a complete bar and cocktail menu. Java’s Coffee Cafe offers grab and go options with freshly brewed coffee, specialty coffees, freshly baked breakfast items and frozen yogurt with candy toppings. Lastly, for a truly unforgettable dining experience, The Venetian Chop House our AAA 4-Diamond rated restaurant features contemporary cuisine including signature steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

What are the hours of operation for the fitness center?

Our regular operating hours for the fitness center are 5:30 am-9:30 pm.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes, our Loss Prevention Department has a Lost & Found division. You can reach them by dialing (407) 238-8489 or by dialing “0” for the Hotel Operator while you are on property and using a house phone.

*Please note that any found unclaimed medications will be discarded after 24 hours.

What children’s services do you provide?

We do not currently offer children’s day care; however, the Caribe Royale has three excellent outdoor pools, including a kiddie pool, 75-foot waterslide, two game rooms and night lighted tennis and basketball courts.  And of course, Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, and all popular attractions for kids of all ages are only minutes away.

Is there a charge for High-Speed Internet Access?

Standard high-speed Internet access (Basic Plan) is included in the Hotel Fee per night, plus tax. Guests have the option to upgrade to Premium Plan for $4.95 per day (Premium Plan provides enhanced speed suitable for video chat, downloading large files, and streaming video).

What are your telephone rates?

As part of the Hotel Fee per night, plus tax, local calls and 800# calls are complimentary. Extended connections to toll-free numbers are $.75 plus tax in addition to a $.10 per minute following the first 30 minutes of the call.

Is there a gift shop on site?

Our gift shop is located in the main reception building.

Print Boarding Passes?

Visit our complimentary boarding pass kiosk to print out your boarding passes, located next to the Enterprise desk in the upper level of the Main Reception Building.

Do you sell attraction tickets?

Guests can purchase Orlando theme park and attraction tickets online or at the Expedia desk in our main lobby.

Do you have a spa on property?

The boutique The Island Spa offers nail, massage and complete body treatments along with waxing services and facials. The Island Spa is open daily; however, Spa hours and pricing are subject to change seasonally. As an included benefit in the Hotel Fee per night, plus tax, Caribe Royale guests enjoy a 10% discount on spa services.

Do you provide dry cleaning services?

Same day dry cleaning service is available through our Bell Service Desk.

Do you have guest washers and dryers at your facility?

Coin operated washers and dryers are located on floors 3, 6 and 9 in each tower. The Villas include a stackable washer and dryer in each.

What is your policy regarding pets?

The Caribe Royale is happy to welcome you and your four-legged family members to our family friendly hotel!  For further information, please review our “Paws Laws” listed below. For additional questions, contact the hotel directly at 800-823-8300.

  • Up to one (1) pet, cat or dog only, per suite.
  • Pet and pet owners must stay in our “pet friendly” assigned suites. (Please inform the Reservations Department of your intention to bring a pet at the time of booking).
  • Pet must not weigh more than 25 pounds.
  • Pet must be current on all veterinarian recommended vaccinations and you agree to obtain and provide a current record, should the Caribe Royale request the information.
  • A one-time, non-refundable Pet Cleaning Fee of $125.00 plus 12.5% tax will be charged to your suite.
  • Should there be any damage to the suite, including soiled/stained furniture, additional charges may apply, at the hotel’s discretion.
  • Pet must be kept in an appropriate crate while Housekeeping services the suite. If pet is not secured in the crate, the suite will not be serviced for the day.
  • Pets are not allowed in pool, restaurant, convention center or fitness center areas.
  • Pet must be leashed or restrained while walking around the hotel in designated areas pursuant to Florida Leash law.
  • Guests are responsible for pet waste clean-up inside the hotel and at the designated “pet relief” area.  A waste can and plastic bags are provided in the relief area.
  • Pet must walk in the pet friendly areas only. Walking pet(s) beyond these assigned areas is not permitted. For further details, please inquire at the front desk.
  • If the dog’s behavior results in complaints by other guests, the owner may be asked to board the dog at an off-property kennel, at owner’s expense.
  • Guests are responsible for all personal injuries/and or property damage related to their pet.
  • Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Caribe Royale, the hotel, its operators and owners and their respective affiliates from all liability and/or damage suffered as a result of their pet.

Emotional support do not constitute “work or tasks” under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are subject to the pet policies and fees listed above.

Registered Service Animals are not subject to these pet policies or fees.  Registered Service Animals are allowed wherever the owner is in need of assistance.

Do you provide basketball and tennis ball rental?

Basketballs and tennis balls can be rented from our fitness center. There is a rental fee of $5 plus tax, per hour. With a maximum rental time of 2 hours.

Are there any restrictions regarding the waterslide?

There are a few safety restrictions. Children are permitted on the waterslide unaccompanied by an adult only if they meet or exceed the 42-inch minimum height requirement. If they are shorter, an adult is required to accompany them down the slide. Also, “floaties” and “water wings” cannot be worn on the slide. Only United States Coast Guard (USCG) Approved Personal Floatation Devices may be worn for the safety of our guests.

Do you offer any activities by the pool?

Seasonally, we feature poolside organized activities for families as well as a seasonal schedule of outdoor, poolside children’s movies in our Movies Under the Stars program. All movies and activities are part in the bundle of services included in our nightly Hotel Fee plus tax.

What is the temperature of the pools and their hours?

The pools are kept between 80-84 degrees and are open 8:00am until 11:00pm. The 75-foot waterslide is open from 8:30 am until 10:30 pm.  There are no life guards on duty – swim at your own risk.

How many pools are at the Caribe Royale?

We have a total of 3 outdoor pools (including a kiddie pool).  There are no life guards on duty.

Do you allow drones to be flown on hotel grounds?

In order to ensure the safety and privacy of all guests, drones are not permitted to be operated on hotel grounds.

What is your policy regarding hoverboards?

These types of devices (self-balanced, two-wheeled, gliding motorized scooters) are prohibited on property due to safety concerns.

Does the Caribe Royale allow smoking on hotel grounds?

All suites and villas are non-smoking. In compliance with Florida law, we do not permit smoking in public areas. Management has determined that e-cigarettes are to be included in the same category as cigarettes and will not permit their use in public areas and in guest accommodations. If it is determined a guest has smoked in a suite or villa, a $200 a day fee will apply.

Smoking is only allowed at all exits on the parking lot side of the property.

Do you offer any packages with passes to Orlando Attractions?

Yes, we feature a 4-night package that includes Walt Disney World® attraction tickets. Additional Orlando attraction tickets available for a la carte purchase at the Expedia Fun Desk, located in the Main Lobby or Click Here to purchase tickets online at a secure website.

Do you offer Express Check-Out?

Yes, Express Check-Out is available using the menu on your in-suite televisions to check-out of the hotel without having to come to the front desk.

You do have an Early Departure Fee?

Yes, once you confirm the dates of your stay at check-in you are responsible for an early departure fee should you choose to depart the hotel prior to the scheduled date. That fee is $50.00 plus tax.

Do you allow late check-out requests?

We honor late check-out requests based upon availability.

The pricing for late check-outs is as follows:

  • 1:00pm – 3:00 pm $50.00 plus tax
  • 3:00pm – 6:00 pm Half a night’s room and tax
  • After 6:00 pm One full night’s room and tax

Is there a minimum age that a guest needs to be in order to check in?

Yes, the minimum check-in age is 18 years old. Additionally, any guest under the age of 21 must provide a valid credit card in order to check-in. This includes all 3rd party reservations in which the guest is responsible for incidentals only. Any cash paying guest under the age of 21 will also be required to provide a valid credit card for incidentals in order to check-in.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

The check-in time is 4 pm and the check-out time is 11 am. Early check-in will be granted based upon availability. Should a guest wish to check-in prior to 11am, a $25 plus tax Early Check-in Fee will apply, pending availability of the suite or villa.

What is your cancellation policy?

If your plans change, we are happy to accept your cancellation 5 days prior to your arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax.

Do you provide services to blind guests?

Caribe Royale has partnered with ClickAndGo Wayfinding Maps to offer a new searchable and fully accessible wayfinding service for our blind guests.

Do you offer Pack N’ Plays for children?

A Pack N’ Play (with one approved sheet) is available upon request complimentary to our guest on a first come, first served basis. They can be requested with our Reservations department at 1 (800) 823-8300 or by calling the Front Desk at (407) 238-8080.

Do you charge for boxes and/or parcels shipped to your hotel?

Yes, there is a nominal fee.  Handling of boxes and/or parcels are managed by The UPS Store® on property.  For more information contact (407) 238-8436.  All packages must be claimed between normal business operating hours.

Is there a parking fee?

Day guest valet: $12.00 (plus tax, per day, per vehicle) Overnight Valet: $15.00 (plus tax, per night, per vehicle). Self-parking $12.00 (plus tax, per night, per vehicle).

Do you charge a resort fee or a hotel fee?

There will be a charge of $25 plus tax, per suite, per night. The following bundle of services will be included in the hotel fee for your convenience.

  • In room Wi-Fi standard service, four device package.
  • Scheduled shuttle service to the Walt Disney World® Ticket & Transportation Center, Disney Springs™, and Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Reservations required (for individual reservations only, not groups.  Seating is limited and number of buses are capped at hotel’s discretion).
  • In-suite coffee (regular and decaffeinated).
  • Unlimited local and 800 access telephone calls.
  • Access to staffed, state-of-the-art fitness center.
  • Movies Under the Stars (poolside, seasonally).
  • Yoga classes and spin classes (weekly).
