Creative Outdoor Weddings

Creativity, outdoor venues, health, and safety measures combine to make magical weddings possible at Caribe Royale Orlando

Your wedding day is something you will remember and treasure for the rest of your life. Just because things are different in 2020 doesn’t mean you can’t create the wedding of your dreams. Our wedding team at Caribe Royale Orlando is here to help you celebrate in a safe and healthy way. As the well-being of our guests and staff is paramount, we will continue to offer the same warm hospitality, great service, and “royale” first-class amenities guests have come to expect from us while complying with state and local rules, regulations and guidelines.

Plans do not have to be put on hold, however. The Orlando wedding industry is full of creative superstars who are pulling out all the stops to make dream weddings a reality for couples in Central Florida. Our vendors and in-house planners are collaborating to create a memorable day for every bride and groom. Our goals include ensuring you and your wedding guests are able to be there on the day to celebrate (including making special provisions for the more vulnerable guests); and offering solutions to involve family and friends who are unable to attend. Here’s our list of innovative wedding options to keep the celebrations going.

An outdoor wedding is an ideal option in Central Florida, and our Caribe Royale team has decades of experience optimizing outdoor spaces. If you are looking for a romantic space for an outdoor wedding in Orlando, our Boca Pier is your perfect solution. Surrounded by our sparkling pond, and centered around a fountain, the soaring wood beams and welcoming space of the Boca Pier covered pavilion make this an inspiring place to say your vows. We can also set up this space for your wedding reception so you and your guests can mingle and dance under the stars.

Depending on the number of guests that can attend your wedding physically, there are few creative formats to consider. Short for a mini-ceremony, a “minimony” typically includes a guest list of up to 10 people. It is an excellent solution for couples who want to move forward with their commitment while saving their big celebration for a future date. A micro-wedding, on the other hand, is an intimate gathering that typically includes a guest list of up to 50 people. This size offers flexibility and affordability while still including traditions that make a wedding elegant. If you go the route of a smaller-scaled event, you may have the budget to indulge in such extras as a top-shelf bar, gourmet dining, and live entertainment.

Poolside weddings at Caribe Royale are another gorgeous way to say “I do” in a vibrant and invigorating setting. You can exchange vows in front of our tropical waterfalls and then join your guests for a reception at the romantic Venetian Chop House patio, with dramatic fire features and spectacular pool views. This option is perfect for the “minimony” wedding style.

For larger guest lists, consider a shift wedding — a concept in which smaller groups of guests are hosted in rotations so that you can still celebrate with all your loved ones while adhering to social distancing guidelines. In this scenario, our crew thoroughly cleans and sanitizes between groups to ensure the continuity of your well-thought-out plans.

There is also the multi-wedding. This allows you to have multiple opportunities to mix and match guests among the various festivities. For example, you could invite your elderly guests to your rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony while your peers can watch the ceremony virtually and then attend an outdoor evening reception and after-party.

Hybrid weddings are another big trend for 2020. They combine an in-person ceremony for those who choose to attend with a live-streamed wedding for other guests. To ensure that you can still have everyone near and dear to your heart witness your wedding in real-time, videographers are now turning their hand to live-streaming — setting up cameras to capture the day in real-time for guests who can not attend physically due to the health risk. You can even set up a big screen in our venue to share images of your ceremony, speeches, and reception via Zoom. Skilled DJs are key to making this work, as they know the technology and can seamlessly combine your in-person and virtual guests so everyone feels included.

Whatever the occasion, our venues give you the flexibility you need to plan the Orlando wedding you’ve imagined. Taking all precautions necessary to keep everyone safe, our planners will ensure that your event is unique, memorable, and flawlessly executed. Socially distanced doesn’t mean being any less social. It’s time to start celebrating again! To begin the planning process, submit a request for proposal or give us a call at 407.238.8100 today.
