7 Ways to Celebrate the Holiday Season in 2021
If there’s one thing we can say about Orlando, our city knows how to make merry. Looking for things to do in Central Florida while you’re celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s with us here at Caribe Royale Orlando? Here are seven events that are sure to make your holiday season as magical as ever!
THE FESTIVAL OF TREES AT THE ORLANDO MUSEUM OF ART
The Festival of Trees, now in its 35th year, launches the holiday season, transforming the Orlando Museum of Art into a magical wonderland enjoyed by visitors of all ages from November 13 to 21. The Council of 101 has chosen “Sparkling Holiday Traditions” as this year’s theme to uplift the community. Visiting Festival of Trees with family and friends will warm hearts with its entertainment, inspiration, shopping and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus! All proceeds directly support the museum, including its exhibitions, lifelong learning center and children’s education.
MERRIMENT AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM
It’s a merry makeover that we look forward to each year. Disney’s Magic Kingdom is decked out for the holidays in style, with sparkling lights, welcoming wreaths, toy soldiers and Christmas trees as far as the eye can see. Your favorite Disney characters are getting in on the action, too, with delightful Character Cavalcades surprising guests throughout the park. Minnie and Mickey are joined by their pals Goofy, Tigger, Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Santa Claus and more, with a cast of candy cane dancers, toy soldiers and gingerbread men adding to the festive spirit. The Disney World bakers have created a variety of holiday treats to tempt your tastebuds, and there’s plenty of new holiday merchandise so you can bring home the magic. Make sure to grab your cameras and a viewing spot as the sun sets each evening to capture Cinderella’s Castle transforming through a series of four different holiday projections, each more magical than the last. On select evenings from November 8 through December 21, guests can also enjoy the ticketed Disney Very Merriest After Hours Celebration. Starting at 9 p.m., guests can enjoy Christmastime parades, character sightings, musical merriment and shorter wait times at over 20 Magic Kingdom attractions.
EPCOT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE HOLIDAYS
From November 26 through December 30, celebrate highlights from the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. Indulge in the Holiday Kitchens and Cookie Stroll around World Showcase promenade with favorites like American Holiday Table, featuring slow-roasted turkey with stuffing, and Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, with dishes like cheese fondue in a bread bowl.
